AKEY, Ealine Eunice (nee Sargeant) -
July 25, 1922-Dec. 28, 2011. It is with great sadness, the family of Ealine announce her passing at the Kingston General Hospital, at age 89. Daughter of the late Lloyde & Irene Sargeant (step-daughter of Julia Morrow). Sadly missed by her beloved husband Harold Akey, married April 8, 1943. Dear & loving mother of Sandra Charron (Paul) of Montreal, Carol Ann Piecyk (Leonard) of Kingston and the late Paul Akey. Loving and caring grandmother of Christine Freemantle (Brian) of Mississauga, Carrie Draycott (Mike) of Barrie, Michelle Renier (J.P.) of Paris, France and predeceased by her grandsons Stephane Charron & Michael Piecyk. Cherished great grandmother of Alex, Ty, Sydney, Mackenzie, Jason, Matthew, Helen and Anthony. Very dear sister of Glady McDougall, Calvin (Jean), Carl (Kathleen), David (Joan) and Joan Truelove (Victor), all of Perth area. Fondly remembered by extended family & friends. The family received friends at the Wartman Funeral Home "Kingston Chapel" on Saturday, December 31, 2011 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Funeral Service followed in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment was held at Crawford's Cemetery, McDonald's Corners on Monday, January 2, 2012 at 11 a.m. Donations by cheque to the Diabetes Association will be remembered with appreciation by the family.

Of Peers, Alberta passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012. Loving husband of Linda, dear father of Mark (Lisa) and Penny (Bill) Blay. Cherished grandfather of six grandchildren and one great grandchild. David will be sadly missed by brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces and many friends. Funeral was held at Edson Funeral Home, Alberta on Saturday, January 14, 2012. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetic Society would be appreciated by the family.

Peacefully at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital, Smiths Falls, on Friday, January 27, 2012 in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late W. Earl Jewell (1999). Loving mother of Judith Ellen Barber (Robert W.) of Lombardy and Robert R. Jewell (Darlene) of Glenburnie. Dearly remembered by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Dear sister of Edward (Sylvia) Hearn of Camden East, James (Edith) Hearn of Kingston and predeceased by her brothers Stanley and Richard Hearn and sister Verda McIntyre. Daughter of the late Richard and Margaret Hearn, late of Kingston. Will be greatly missed by her loving companion John "Jack" Fitchell and family of Smiths Falls, and her many friends at Lombard Manor. Following her wishes, cremation has taken place, with a family interment service at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens in Glenburnie at a later date. For those wishing, donation may be sent to Parkinson's Foundation.

Mobile, Alabama. It is with a heavy heart we announce the sudden death of John Reed at the age of 58 on January 21, 2012. John is survived by his devoted wife, Kay (McDonald) and only son William ‘Tyler’ of Mobile, and his mother Daisy (Reed) Clifford of Carleton Place, Ontario. John is predeceased by his father William ‘Bill’ of Nelsonville, Ohio and step-father Brian Clifford of Carleton Place, Ontario. Private arrangements in Mobile, Alabama.
