The North Grenville Dandelion Festival wants you

Posted Mar 11, 2010 By EMC News

EMC Events - The Dandelion Festival North Grenville committee held their 2010 stakeholder event on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at the North Grenville Municipal Theatre to discuss the essential part of the festival: its artists, crafters, entertainers, musicians, performers, presenters, sponsors, suppliers, vendors, volunteers and the like.

"The festival has come a long way in the last 10 years. Celebrating arts and culture is an enjoyable way to spend a weekend in North Grenville. I encourage people to take in the local artisans, food and entertainment," said municipal councillor Barb Tobin.

"Volunteers are an integral part of this community and a festival like this doesn't happen without them," added fellow councillor Terry Butler, who also serves as chairman of the Dandelion Festival North Grenville committee.

Among the highlights of the 2010 Dandelion Festival is the Dandelion Grand Prix, Voyageur canoe tours, and VegStock - where popular group Eddy and the Stingrays will headline the event.

The board is currently taking vendor applications until March 31. Pricing for the entire weekend is as follows: Non-profit organizations - free, merchandise vendors - $25, corporate/government vendors - $50, and $75 for food vendors. Please pick up your vendor and/or volunteer application form at www.northgrenville.ca/dandelion.cfm or call Jennifer Friesen-Gow at 613-258-6576.
