Chamber seeks sponsors for May awards gala
Posted Mar 11, 2010 By EMC NewsEMC Business - The North Grenville Chamber of Commerce is hard at work planning this year's 21st annual 'Salute to Excellence' awards gala, which honours the best in business in North Grenville. So, start thinking about who you may want to nominate for an award this year.
This year's event, which will also celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Chamber, is set to be held on May 1 at the W.B. George Centre on the University of Guelph-Kemptville Campus. In order to ensure business and community leaders are recognized, the Chamber first needs sponsors to come forward before nomination forms for the awards can be distributed in the community.
Currently, the Chamber is seeking sponsors and nominations for:
- Mel Johnston Established Business of the Year (six years and over),
- New Business of the Year (one to five years),
- Hal Anthony Citizen of the Year,
- Russ Mosher Volunteer of the Year,
- Employer of the Year, and
- Cooperative Education Awards for both North Grenville District High School (2010 recipient will be Elizabeth Stevens), and St. Michael Catholic High School (2010 recipient will be Bobbie-Jean Seabrooke).
Sponsorship for each of the awards, except the Cooperative Education Awards ($500) each, are $2,000 per award.
Other sponsorship opportunities include becoming the title sponsor of the event for $2,500, a platinum event sponsor for $2,000, gold event sponsor for $1,500, silver event sponsor for $1,000, or an evergreen event sponsor for $500. Becoming a sponsor will also give your business or organization more exposure on the Chamber website and in the media, advertisements and nomination forms.
The cost to attend the 2010 'Salute to Excellence' awards gala is $80 per person or $600 for a table of eight. Past recipients will get their tickets at $65 each.
